Exhibition stand proposal; video, Arduino.
Alongside Vilma Jaruseviciute and Mike Richardson, I'm a competition winner. Our proposal for an exhibition stand that communicated the then-emerging technology of Social Location, was selected by interaction design studio Kin to present at the Nokia headquarters in Soho. We picked up on the aspect of Social Location that allows you to view the fluctuations of the social network. The stand consists of a central column of green bird boxes with embedded screens. Visitors to the show and the website can send messages to the boxes, prompting a colourful bird to pop out. This was a tactile way to explain something quite high tech in a colourful and humourous manner.
