Centre for Investigative Journalism

The Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJ) is a think-tank and experimental laboratory set up to train a new generation of reporters in the tools of investigative journalism. In the era of "fake news", the CIJ stands for a theory of investigative journalism - not for its own sake or for strictly academic purposes - to stimulate creative thinking about what investigative journalism has become and where we want it to go from here.

To coincide with the Centre’s 15th anniversary, I worked closely with them to design a new logo and visual identity. I felt it was crucial to distil their values and commitment to principled, professional practice into a visual language that would allow them to say more about what they're doing and why.
